We are very happy that the Village enacted the Formula Business / Fast-Food & Drive Thru Restrictions Law last night!
Thank you to everyone who worked on this law, supported it, and participated in its development with suggestions and comments.
Especially – thanks to Special Board members former Mayor Anthony Phillips, Marie Early, Michael Reisman and Trustee Stephanie Hawkins who prepared a strong justification report upon which the law is based, and to our Mayor and Board of Trustees for responding to the extraordinary consensus of support this law enjoys Village-wide and working diligently to ensure this law reflects the will of Village residents and business owners.
This law will help preserve the Village’s unique historic character and the vitality of its tourist economy by limiting the proliferation of businesses that otherwise conflict with those Village assets.
